Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Price to N899, Offers Credit Purchase
New Price Takes Effect as Refinery Introduces Buy-Now-Pay-Later Option
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) price to N899.50 per litre from N970, the second price drop since November 24. The refinery announced the new price Thursday morning as part of its holiday season measures.
The refinery has also launched a credit purchase system allowing customers to buy an additional litre of fuel on credit for every litre bought with cash. The credit purchases require bank guarantees from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
“To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM,” said Anthony Chiejina, the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer.
Dangote refinery, the 650,000 barrels per day facility, the world’s largest single-train refinery, can meet Nigeria’s refined petroleum product requirements with surplus for export. The refinery’s operations will end Nigeria’s importation of blended and substandard products that have damaged machinery and posed environmental risks.
The price reduction arrives as Nigerians prepare for holiday travel. The refinery’s combined price cut and credit facility aims to make fuel more accessible while maintaining quality standards.
Chiejina said the refinery remains committed to providing Nigerians with premium quality petroleum products that are competitively priced, environmentally safe, and engine friendly.
The company thanked Nigerians for their support as the country enters the festive season.
